The Laredo District Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) held a Safety Banquet Award Ceremony for their employees from the 8 District
Maintenance areas including Maverick County. The banquet is held every year to recognize TXDOT employees for their work. This year the Maverick County Maintenance crew were recognized for having no accidents or injuries throughout 2016. Raul Leal Public Information Officer of the Laredo Division TXDOT states that recognizing the employees is an important part of keeping safety as a top priority and continue working as one big team. There are over 225 employees working for TXDOT in the 8 District area.
