Boy Scouts Pack 288 of Eagle Pass held their annual Pinewood Derby on Thursday, April 6 at Cumay Event Hall.
Pack 288, which sees more and more young boys joining each year, would like to thank participating scouts and their parents for making the event a
success. They would like to extend their thanks to Committee Chair and Bear Den Leader Gloria L. Capetillo, Tiger Den Leader Esmeralda Aguilar, WEBELO Den Leader Ruth Jimenez, Wolf Den Leader Christina Aviles, and Advancement Chair Sonia Dobey for organizing the event that came together with the support of Cub Master Agustin Aguilar as well.
Pack 288 would like to thank derby judges Werner Johnson of Ancira Ford, Marine Recruiter Sgt. Moses Jimenez, and Boy Scouts Troop 274 Cub Master Jose Melendrez who awarded participation certificates to each scout, as well as certificates for different categories, and trophies for first, second, and third place winners.
The pack also thanks Chick-fil-A Manager Jackie Garza for their support and catering services at the Pinewood Derby event.
