A County unit on patrol Sunday morning attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze who disregarded a stop sign on Las Quintas Boulevard.
A short pursuit ensued before the vehicle came to a stop on Alvin Street when the driver, 30-year-old Daniel Alexandro Ramos, exited the vehicle and walked into a residence through the rear door while disregarding deputy commands.
Deputies entered the residence and Ramos began to physically fight with officers before being subdued. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. Ramos was arrested for evading arrest with a motor vehicle, DWI, resisting arrest, assault on a public servant, and interference with public duties.
