The Council of Good Neighbors has chosen the two individuals to represent the City of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila as Mr. Amigo during the annual Friendship Embrace Ceremony which will be taking place on Friday, March 24 at the International Bridge I at 5:30 p.m.
President of the Good Neighbors Council Rene Martinez announced that Roger Perez will represent Eagle Pass, and local composer Carlos Coral will represent Piedras Negras as the 2017 Mr. Amigos.
Keeping with tradition, the Abrazo Ceremony will take place on Bridge #2, and will be attended by public officials from both sides of the Rio Grande in a show of goodwill and friendship between both municipalities and countries.
The yearly Friendship Festival will kick off on Friday, March 24, and will host a bevy of family oriented events throughout the week.
